Getting an accurate elevation starts with one simple thing: your grade rod needs to be plumb.
The Dula-Grade Grade Rod Base gives your grade rod a wide, stable footprint and a built-in bubble level, making it easy to get the rod plumb and keep it there while checking grade.
Trying to watch the receiver bubble while simultaneously making sure the bottom of your grade rod is just barely touching the concrete makes accurate grade checking more difficult than it needs to be.
Dula-Grade provides a 5" × 5" base—approximately 14× the base area of a typical 1" × 1½" grade rod extension, which dramatically reduces the chance of accidentally pressing the grade rod too deep into the concrete.
The integrated bubble level gives you an immediate visual reference so you can adjust the rod to plumb while also being able to see the base just touch the concrete. Four adjustable knobs secure the grade rod in position and allowing the Dula-Grade to accommodate different rod sizes.
At approximately 1 lb, it's lightweight enough to stay on the grade rod and move around the jobsite with you.
